Commemorated since 1970, World Earth Day is an annual event that brings together millions of people from around the world in support of the environment, highlighting the urgent action we need to take to save our planet. With the theme "Restore Our Earth," the commemoration of World Earth Day also highlights the importance of education about environmental conservation and invites all of us to actively participate in environmental education programs.
Meanwhile, National Education Day (theme 2021: Moving Together, Freedom of Learning/ Serentak Bergerak, Wujudkan Merdeka Belajar) which was inspired by an extraordinary figure in our education history, Ki Hadjar Dewantara (born 2 May 1889), reminded us of the importance of the role of teachers in learning and teaching activities.
